Serviced Resident Funded Units

Catholic Homes operates 6 serviced apartments, co-located with St Catherine's Residential Aged Care Facility in Balwyn, and 4 serviced units at Hannah Village, co-located with John R Hannah Aged Care Facility in Mulgrave.

Residents are able to enjoy the benefits of independent living close to a supportive community and the availability of additional service options such as meals, cleaning, laundry, 24 hour emergency call service and participation in lifestyle programs.

Initial and Ongoing Costs

A one-off Ingoing Contribution is payable based on the market value of the property at the time. This is refundable on departure, less a Deferred Management Fee.

A monthly operating fee is payable to cover the costs of external maintenance, gardening, building insurance, the emergency call service and common utilities.

Fees are also payable for any additional services the resident chooses to receive.

Life Tenancy

Catholic Homes enters into a Resident Agreement with residents prior to entry. This provides a life tenancy and covers the conditions of occupancy, in accordance with the requirements of the Retirement Villages Act 1986.
