Resident Funded Units

Catholic Homes operates 27 resident funded units for persons over 55 years of age.

These units provide a high standard of accommodation suitable for independent living with community supports.

They are located close to public transport, shopping facilities, other community amenities and the local parish church in:

  • North Fitzroy
  • Eltham
  • Brunswick West.

All units have 2 bedrooms ( a limited number have 2 bedrooms plus study) and include floor and window furnishings, built in robes, split A/C system, dishwasher, security doors and many other features. Located at ground level each unit has an adjoining lock up garage and an enclosed private courtyard.

Initial and Ongoing Costs

A one-off Ingoing Contribution is payable based on the market value of the property at the time. This is refundable on departure, less a Deferred Management Fee.

A monthly maintenance charge is payable to cover the costs of external maintenance, gardening, building insurance and common utilities.

Life Tenancy

Catholic Homes enters into a Resident Agreement with residents prior to entry. This provides a life tenancy and covers the conditions of occupancy, in accordance with the requirements of the Retirement Villages Act 1985.
