Release of Pandemic Plan and Resources

Catholic Homes recently launched its Pandemic Management Plan and related resources at a series of training sessions for staff. This is part of our commitment to promote the health and safety of our residents, clients, staff and volunteers. We undertook this work in response to Government recommendations that organisations prepare pandemic management plans and it is the outcome of extensive work reviewing the literature and relevant policies.

The current outbreak of swine flu, transmitted through human to human contact, increases the risk of a pandemic and heightens the need for us to work in unison if we are to manage effectively this significant risk to community health and safety.

We are making the resources we have developed available as they may be of assistance to similar organisations who have not yet developed pandemic management plans.
