Our Catholic Ethos

Four important elements at the heart of the Catholic ethos inspire and guide our work at Catholic Homes:

Spiritual

We respect and honour the spiritual needs of our residents and clients, accepting the diversity of faith backgrounds. We provide patient, compassionate care ensuring dignity and comfort.

Ethical

Ethical principles guide how we work and how we treat others. These principles include: the sanctity of life, the dignity of the human person, and the stewardship of creation.

Social Justice

By being inclusive and empowering we enable people to flourish and to participate in community life, without being disadvantaged by low income or other special needs. We provide services that are accessible to people from a range of socio-economic, cultural and religious backgrounds.

Caritas / Community

We practice loving kindness towards others, compassion, forgiveness and reconciliation. We support and complement the role of families and strengthen community connections.
